Your privacy

MorganAsh takes privacy and the handling of personal data extremely seriously, right across all of our business operations, not just our website.

MorganAsh Limited, which is registered in the UK, as company number 04955931, is the data controller.

We acknowledge and agree that any personal data of yours that we handle will be processed in accordance with all applicable data protection laws. This is the UK’s implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), which sits alongside the Data Protection Act 2018.

Cookies

Like most websites today, our website uses what are known as ‘cookies’. Our cookies are not sinister – they are simply small files, placed on your computer by your browser, to help us provide a better service. We do this to help us understand things such as how many people visit the various parts of our website. A cookie is a text-only string of information that a website transfers to the cookie file of the browser on your computer’s hard drive so that the website can remember who you are.

Our cookies do not identify you personally. If we need personal information (such as when you ask us to contact you) we are always upfront about it. We do our best to make it clear, not only when we collect personal information, but also what we intend to do with it. Most major websites use cookies.

During a visit to our website, we may collect information about your computer, including (where available) your IP address, operating system and browser type. This is purely for system administration – to improve the structure and content of our site. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns and does not identify any individual.

For these reasons we reserve the right to use cookies as an anonymous method of recording your usage of our site. If you do not wish to have cookies recorded on your machine, please amend the settings on your browser to prevent them from being created. The ‘Help’ section in your browser should provide you with the necessary information to adjust your settings and control the creation and storage of cookies on your hard drive.

Two types of cookies are used on our website:

  • Session cookies: which are temporary cookies that remain in the cookie file of your browser until you leave the site; and

  • Persistent cookies: which remain in the cookie file of your browser for much longer (though how long will depend on the lifetime of the specific cookie).

If you alter your browser settings to refuse our cookies you may be unable to access certain parts of our site. Unless you have adjusted your browser’s settings so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you log on to our site.

Our website uses Google Analytics to allow us to count users who have visited those pages. Google Analytics is not used to access your personally identifiable information on our site. It is a technique to compile aggregated statistics about our website’s usage. Google Analytics collects only a limited set of information including a cookie number, time and date of a page view and a description of the page on Google Analytics resides.

Most Web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. For details on how to do this, please refer to the browser’s help files or the manufacturer’s support pages. You can also opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites.

Why do I have to agree to the use of cookies?

You don’t – you can agree, or you can opt out. Like all websites in the UK, we have to tell you that our website uses cookies and provide a mechanism for you to opt out of their use. You’ll see this notice at the foot of every page, until you agree – at which point the notice disappears.
